Raymond Kistler
Principal Architect
A strong leader who develops a distinctive strategy for each project, Principal  Ray Kistler works closely with clients to outline programmatic considerations to determine the best overall building designs.  Each one is different, relfecting the client rather than himself.  He excels at motivating teams and keeping people focused.  Clients value Ray's warm, relaxed personality, his ability to humbly listen, and in-depth understanding of construction.  With more than 20 years of experience practicing Architecture and Land-Use Planning, Ray's award-winning design ranges from university facilities, health care centers and churches to creative residential projects that are responsible to the community, the environment, and the client's budget.

Ray Kistler designs thoughtful buildings that contemplate the space, light, and climate of the Pacific Northwest.  When Ray was seven years old, he would ride his Schwinn to various construction sites.  He observed the progress of each project within the radius of a boy's bicycle ride and began to develop a critical eye.  At eight, Ray was already critiquing interior space planning, exterior massing, and the environmental sites of speculative development.  His parents bought him architectural drafting tools that year for his birthday.  His passion continues today.  He is an innovative designer who values fresh ideas, timeless forms and lasting materials.
