Jacksonville, Oregon
The Dancin Vineyard project provides a new Tasting Room and Marketplace to an existing artisan winery, producing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The quaint building houses the main retail/ gathering space for the farm stand, and a commercial kitchen space which includes a wood-fired pizza oven.
The owners describe the farm stand as being "nestled amongst the vines and inspired by the landscapes and architecture of Tuscany" and evokes "warmth and genuine hospitality". The layout of the new site improvements highlight the existing features of the vineyard. A variety of gathering spaces surround the main building, including an arbor-covered patio alongside the pond, and a picnic area under the existing Black Walnut tree. It conveys a sense of Italian architecture within the western forested foothills of Jacksonville.
